What should I wear after I am sprayed?

Loose fitting dark coloured clothing and footwear should be worn after receiving a spray tan.  The tanning solution can react with wool, nylon, and silk so these fabrics should not be worn during or immediately following your tanning session.

How long should I wait after a tanning session before showering?

To give the tanning solution enough time to fully set, it is recommended that you wait a minimum of 8 hours after being sprayed, preferably overnight if you can. Showering sooner than 8/10 hours may diminish the intensity of the tan.

Can I go to bed before the tan has developed?

The guide colour can be left on overnight and the tan will develop while you sleep.  Please be advised that it may transfer onto your bed linen. It will wash out of cotton, but not so easily from man-made fibres or wool.

IMPORTANT - If you are not sleeping alone, please ensure that their skin avoids contact with yours as the active ingredients in the solution could transfer and you may well have a stripey partner in the morning!

How do I care for my tan?

Do not shower or bathe for a minimum of 8 hours after you are sprayed.

Do not participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for at least 12 hours after the treatment.

Apply a NON-OIL-BASED moisturiser daily.

Exfoliate your skin every 2-3 days to ensure even fading.

After showering pat the skin dry rather than rubbing.

Can a Spray Tan be removed?

The colour produced by a spraytan does not wash off; it simply fades as the upper layers of the epidermis wear away. You can try to speed the exfoliation process by gently scrubbing the skin with a washcloth or loofah sponge but do not over-scrub! It may take a week or more for the "tanned" skin to disappear.

Will swimming affect my Spray Tan?

Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water can fade the results, and may diminish the length of your tan.
